The Trust are pleased to welcome and introduce two new Trustees, adding to a Board of extensive knowledge and expertise. The Community Trust, as a registered charity is governed by a Board of Trustees which offers support and advice on progressive work taking place across the Fylde Coast, with added responsibility for our strategy, direction, and impact.

George explained, “The Community Trust is much more than football. Nor simply about where FTFC is on the league table. I guess that in some small way, as Trustee, I can help to express that more widely. To find better means of simplifying and improving people’s perception. Learning new ways, giving local insight, challenging misconceptions, and giving direction so the Trust can engage with shared local concerns we face in our community. Especially, supporting families with young people who think that community in general is too broken and that no one really cares. From what I have seen, the Trust does care about making a difference and wants to engage with our young people for many years to come.”

Paul added, “Fleetwood Town Community Trust is all about making a difference in the local community, and especially supporting young people and families. I have been involved with the trust dealing with the book-keeping and other financial records, information and reports. I’m hoping that with my financial expertise and skills that I can help the trust remain sustainable for the future.”

“I am thrilled to have been able to add both Paul and George to our existing Board of Trustees, adding further depth and value to the Trust as we continue to deliver our strategy in developing stronger, healthier, more active communities.” Community Trust CEO, John Hartley.
