Premier League Kicks uses the power of football and other sports to connect with young people in some of the most deprived regions across the UK.
The youth outreach programme began over ten years ago, with the aim to create safer, stronger and more respectful communities through the development of young people’s potential, whilst providing access to facilities, coaching and mentoring.
What We Offer:
Fleetwood Town Community Trust is proud to deliver the Premier League Kicks programme, a dynamic initiative offering free sessions that inspire young people across Fleetwood and the Wyre area through sport and positive engagement. Designed to meet the diverse interests of participants, the programme provides opportunities to develop new skills, build confidence, and form meaningful connections within their community.
Our sessions include Football, Futsal, Esports, Multi-Sports, and two Youth Hubs, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Additionally, we are committed to fostering inclusivity and empowering all young people to get involved. This includes our tailored Pan-Ability Football sessions, designed for participants with disabilities, and our Girls-Only Football and Multi-Sports sessions, which offer a supportive environment to encourage female participation in sport.
Through these varied activities, we aim to create a stronger, more inclusive community while helping young people unlock their full potential on and off the pitch.
Social Action:
At Fleetwood Town Community Trust, social action is at the heart of our Premier League Kicks programme. We empower young people to make a positive impact within their community by integrating social action projects into our sessions. These initiatives encourage participants to identify local issues and collaborate on solutions, fostering teamwork, leadership, and a sense of responsibility.
From environmental clean-ups to community fundraising and awareness campaigns, we provide opportunities for participants to develop life skills while giving back. Through these activities, we aim to inspire young people to become active citizens who contribute to a stronger, more connected community.
Workshops:
Education workshops are a key part of our Premier League Kicks programme at Fleetwood Town Community Trust. Delivered alongside our weekly sessions, these workshops focus on important topics such as healthy living, both physical and mental, to promote overall wellbeing. We also address Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion through engaging activities, including campaigns like No Room for Racism and LGBTQ+ inclusion, fostering a culture of acceptance and understanding.
