Fleetwood Town Community Trust have been awarded funding through Lancashire County council to assist young offenders in Wyre.

The Trust work alongside partners Wyre Youth Offenders Team (YOT), Police, Addaction and Children & Family Wellbeing Service to deliver the six week programme at Poolfoot Farm involving key weekly themes, including knife crime, alcohol and drug awareness, the impact of ASB and exploitation.
Fleetwood Town Community Trust, Project Lead, John Hartley explains that: “The opportunities for young people to take part in productive activities or groups is greater than ever before across Wyre,”
He added: “The Trust alone engage with over 13,000 people annually and believe with all the partners pulling together we can make a difference to the lives of these young people and the local community.”
Pat McShane, from the Wyre Youth Offenders team stated: “We feel that by offering young people the opportunity to take responsibility for their actions and behaviours at an early stage in life, offers them an understanding on how negative behaviours can impact on others within their own communities.”
