Fleetwood Town FC in partnership with their Community Trust are proud to support Level Playing Field campaign, “Unite For Access”.
Level Playing Field engage with communities and football clubs up and down the country to remove barriers for fans with disabilities, creating a more inclusive environment for all when accessing live sporting events.
We were proud to celebrate our inclusivity at Highbury Stadium in the build up to our recent home fixture vs Wigan Athletic, where participants of the Trusts “Go Beyond” programme become flag wavers, stadium announcer with one lucky young person carrying out the match ball.
Fleetwood Town Community Trust CEO, John Hartley added, “It is everybody’s responsibility to create a positive environment through inclusivity, removing any barriers ensuring every fan has the opportunity to cheer on the Cod Army.
Earlier this season we launched our sensory packs, giving children with additional needs the opportunity to access a bag of resources, including ear defenders, squeezy balls, communication aids and coloring books. This is another initiative promoting the clubs level of inclusivity with many more in the pipeline.”
