School Health & Wellbeing Activator

Fleetwood Town Community Trust is an independent and registered charity working in partnership with Fleetwood Town Football Club. Our mission is to enrich the lives of children and young people through sport, physical activity, health and educational programmes.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a School Health & Wellbeing Activator. If you are a Qualified Coach holding at least a level 2 Multi Sports coaching qualification preferably in one or more sport with experience in working with Primary aged children (5-12 year olds) delivering Healthy lifestyle programme, then we want to hear from you.

This is an exciting role to deliver a number of Health & Wellbeing programmes in Primary Schools across the Wyre Borough. You will be working in partnership with the EFL Trust & the Wyre & Fylde School Sport Partnership.

It would be desirable for applicants to hold a recent first aid qualification, a recent safeguarding qualification, a child protection certificate and a recent DBS – this can be completed for you if yours has run out of date.

 NCS Programme Manager 

£22,000 – £24,000 plus performance related pay

Fleetwood Town Community Trust is the award-winning official charity of Fleetwood Town Football Club and is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced NCS Programme Manager to plan and manage our NCS project for young people aged 16-17 across the Borough of Wyre.

NCS is a voluntary programme for 16-17 year olds that will promote:

• A more cohesive society by mixing participants of different backgrounds.

• A more responsible society by supporting the transition into adulthood for young people.

• A more engaged society by enabling young people to work together to create social action projects in their communities.

The NCS Programme Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of high quality, safe and to specification programme for the Trust. Responsibilities extend to the management of operational and administrative staff, oversight of health and safety and safeguarding matters as well as operational deployment and incident management. The role will be the key liaison between Trust and the commissioning body, (The EFL Trust).

There is a minimum requirement for the holder to have a full valid UK driving licence with business insurance as travelling across Wyre and other areas will be part of this role.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with an exciting programme which has tangible results for the young people involved. The roles are demanding and fast-paced but highly rewarding. These roles will require week-long residential commitments at a variety of times as Fleetwood Town FC Community Trust run around 5 NCS trips during the year.

The groups are composed of approximately 15 young people and the leader will be expected to work under the direction of the NCS Programme Manager and assist with the pastoral care and support the development of the young people. Previous experience would be welcome but is not essential.

National Citizen Service Programme Leader (Casual Staff)

 Job Outline

Your main duties and responsibilities will be to;

  • Lead, inspire and take responsibility for the pastoral care for a group of participants, ensuring their safety and assisting their personal development throughout residential trips.
  • Lead by example and get involved in outdoor and community volunteering activities, keeping the group motivated at all times.
  • Work as part of a larger team of staff to support the planning and delivery of a Social Action Project.
  • Work with and support all other staff to deal with any challenging behaviour from young people.
  • Ensure that appropriate safeguarding, health & safety and other relevant policies are implemented and followed.
  • Provide support to staff and young people in a variety of settings to ensure that they have a positive NCS experience.
  • Work within the ethos of the NCS programme.

25 hours per week

The Trust is seeking to appoint a School PE & Sport Activator. If you are a Qualified Sports or Multi Sport Coach holding at least a level 2 Multi Sports coaching qualification preferably in one or more sport and with experience in working with Primary aged children (5-12 year olds) then we want to hear from you.

This is an exciting role to deliver a number of PE & Sport programmes in Primary Schools across the Wyre Borough. You will work in partnership with The EFL Trust and The Premier League.

Casual Multisport Coaches

We are currently recruiting Casual Multisports Coaches who are available on a casual basis to deliver our curriculum and extra-curricular school sports programmes, Football Development programme and Holiday Sports Camps.

It is essential you hold at least one level 2 NGB Sports Coaching Qualification. You also must have experience of delivering Sports and PE lessons/sessions in Primary school settings.

Casual Community Coach Lead

We are currently recruiting a Casual Community Coach who is available on a casual basis during evenings and weekends on our Community Outreach Sports and Activity programme. There will also be an opportunity for additional hours on our School Holiday Sports Camps.

It is essential you hold at least one level 2 NGB Sports Coaching Qualification. You also must have experience of delivering Sports and Activities on Community programmes.

It is essential you are flexible to working unsociable hours.
