Welcome to Wildcats Football Sessions! Our program is designed to ignite the passion for football in young girls aged 5 to 11, creating a dynamic and enjoyable environment for them to develop essential skills and a lifelong love for the game.
Led by experienced coaches, our sessions focus on nurturing fundamental techniques such as dribbling, passing, and shooting, all while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of football, and our inclusive and engaging approach ensures that players of all abilities are welcome.
Our Wildcats sessions are in proud partnership with Fleetwood Town Juniors Football Club who have over 19 dedicated female football teams from U7’s to U18’s.
Together in this partnership, we are committed to provide an inclusive environment regardless of ability, disability, impairment or health condition, to allow young girls to try football for the first time in a fun, safe environment.
All our sessions include a cohort of female coaches, providing role models for young girls and demonstrating that women can excel in all aspects of football. Our female coaches continue to inspire confidence and encourage young girls to believe in their own potential.
Overall, having female coaches at the helm of girls’ football sessions not only enriches the coaching landscape but also follows in the Lionesses’ footsteps of contributing significantly to the growth and empowerment of the next generation of female athletes.
We have 3 Weetabix Wildcats centres across Fleetwood and Wyre, one of which being Poolfoot Farm the home of the Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies team.
The Wrens often visit our sessions throughout the year to provide positive role models for our players and to highlight the pathway that we have from the age of 5 right through to open age.
