Fleetwood Town Community Trust were invited to attend a Parliamentary Showcase down in London for the Joy of Moving programme, which is held in partnership with the EFL Trust.
The last 12 months has seen the programme develop, and that has seen numbers grow with participations across the United Kingdom. Since this initiative began, over 200,000 children have benefitted from over a million hours of learning in schools.
With the success of the programme in the local area, the Community Trust were invited to London to visit the House of Commons, which was attended by Pieraldo Oldano, The Managing Director of Ferrero UK & Ireland, and it was a huge success for a handful of other EFL clubs to see what the Trust offer to local pupils.
The day saw guests attend, giving those who attended an opportunity to see how the programme’s unique methodology gets children moving through play, whilst developing key skills in the four major areas: physical fitness, motor co-ordination, cognitive functions and creativity and life skills.
The Trust would like to thank the Joy of Moving programme staff, as well as those who organised the event down in the capital city.
