Students from Fleetwood Town’s Community Sports College have arrived in Spain ahead of a two-week educational programme.
With the students starting the new academic year early in September at Poolfoot Farm, it’s now time for a two-week educational programme in Alicante, Spain, which has been organised through EU Erasmus Plus – who help schools plan and deliver lessions, training and sports all across Europe.
Whilst in sunny Spain, the BTEC students will have daily lessons in the classroom, focusing on sports and expanding their knowledge, as well as learning the native language from Spanish teachers. From inside to outside the classroom, all will take part in coaching sessions – again widening their skills for when they come back to the Fylde Coast to complete college assignments.Students will play three games whilst over there against local football teams, then will watch a live Spanish football match when Elche take on Tenerife at the Estadio Martinez Valero. With the above just being some of the many activities taking place during the two weeks, we hope all the students and staff have a wonderful take and get the most out of their trip.
