Fleetwood Town Community Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of two new Trustees to their Board, representing different sectors within the community.
The Community Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees which offers support and advice on progressing the work of the charity, and has a responsibility for our strategy, direction, and impact.
Jeremy Quartermain, Headmaster at Rossall School, one of the country’s leading independent co-educational boarding and day schools, is the Trust’s new Safeguarding Lead.
“I am delighted to have been invited to join the board of Fleetwood Town Community Trust,” said Jeremy. “Its contribution to our local community is quite remarkable and I look forward to supporting the Trust’s invaluable work as it continues to develop its extraordinarily diverse range of activities that promote the health and wellbeing of all within Fleetwood.
“The Trust is a real trailblazer in terms of its community outreach work, and it serves to highlight the importance of the club to this town. I have huge respect for the work of the Trust and as a committed Fleetwood Town supporter and Fleetwood resident, the opportunity to become more involved with the club was too good to turn down!”
New Governance and Legal Lead, Martin Shipway, is a Director at PHH Solicitors, who have offices in both Fleetwood and Cleveleys.
“I am absolutely delighted to join the Board of Trustees,” said Martin. “I am very much looking forward to supporting the Trust in furthering its objectives within the Community and building on the great things which they have already achieved.”
Since the inception of the charity in 2012, the Board of Trustees has grown from strength to strength in both numbers and experience, and our Trustees represent various sectors across the community including education, sport, health, business, and commerce.
“I’m over the moon that Jeremy and Martin have joined our Board of Directors,” said Matt Hilton, Chief Executive of the Community Trust. “They are both trusted experts in their individual fields and I’m looking forward to working closely with them to see what more we can do to help individuals within our local community.”
