Fleetwood Town Community Trust have been successful in a recent application to continue engaging with young people and therefore supporting a reduction towards youth Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) in Fleetwood, targeting the wards of Warren and Pharos within the region.
The weekly provision will encourage young people to collaborate in engaging social activities demonstrating positive contributions towards their local community. The aim of the provision alongside reducing Anti Social Behaviour will be to forge partnerships and relationships with the wider community and support young people in new pathways into sport and physical activity.
The Trust’s Community Cohesion & Inclusion Manager, John Hartley said, “In recent months we have seen an increase in ASB around specific area’s in Fleetwood. This funding will allow us to provide intervention and diversionary activities to young people.”
Tony Hennon of Places for People added, “Places for People through our Travis Perkins legacy fund are proud to support Fleetwood Town Community Trust as they support young people through activities and engagement addressing the many issues face by young people. We look forward to a great partnership together.”
