Fleetwood Town Community Trust are thrilled to share their new strategic plan, detailing the vision, mission, values and behaviours.

The strategy comes after a 12-month consultation process in partnership with Hitched Communities, engaging with participants, stakeholders, Trustees and the workforce, reviewing the key achievements and areas for development based on local needs.

Chair of Trustees, Pete Murphy explained, “Last week’s Strategy launch is testament to just how far we have come as a Trust. To have so many partners and friends attending gives us all the impetus to carry on working together for the good of our community. We look forward to putting the plans into action!”

As the Trust heads into its 13th year of delivering life changing projects, the new vision is to inspire healthier, more connected communities and it will do this by working with key stakeholders collaboratively to empower and bring together communities, changing lives for the better through diverse initiatives.

The plan also outlines the new priority areas, these being:

  • Sustainability
  • Mental, Physical and Social Wellbeing
  • Sport & Physical Activity
  • Safer & Inclusive Communities
  • Education & Employability

Rebecca Huddleston, CEO of Wyre Borough Council added, “I was really pleased to be able to support FTCT at the launch of their new strategy. It was great to be reminded of some examples of the great work that the Trust delivers in the community as well as to hear about its ambitions for the future. I look forward to continuing to work together and to explore further collaborative and effective partnership opportunities. Working together we will continue to make a difference for our communities.”
