As part of their ongoing partnership, BES Utilities has invested in a brand-new minibus for Fleetwood Town Community Trust, which will provide programme participants access to community groups and events across Wyre and Fylde.
Earlier this year, BES selected the Community Trust as their official Corporate Social Responsibility Partner, as they wanted to give something back and make a direct difference to the local community. They are now working together on a range of exciting initiatives which will enrich the lives of individuals within the local area.
The minibus will be used to support the Community Trust’s programmes, most notably their expanding sports college, as well as their community outreach provision.
Andy Pilley, owner and Director of BES, said:
“On behalf of everyone at BES Utilities, it gave me enormous pride to be able to hand over the keys to the Community Trust’s new minibus. Matt Hilton and his team carry out such vitally important work across Fleetwood and the Fylde region, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages. It’s our pleasure to contribute towards making life a little bit easier for them and the communities they support.”
Chief Executive of the Community Trust, Matt Hilton, said:
“We’re extremely grateful for the generous investment BES Utilities has made in our new minibus. Not only will it support our community programmes, in particular our expanding sports provision, it will allow us to increase our offering so even more residents can access groups and events across Wyre and Fylde.
“BES make such a substantial contribution to the local community, and I’m delighted that we can work so closely with them on a range of initiatives that really make a difference those hard to reach groups within our communities.”
The Community Trust offers many diverse activities that provide individuals across the Fylde coast with the chance to participate and enjoy themselves in a fun, friendly environment. They also have a strong focus on educating young people in life skills, promoting self-esteem, respect, sportsmanship, social inclusion, and healthy active lifestyles.
