Fleetwood Town Community Trust is proud to support Veterans and their families through our experienced and dedicated Positive Pathways co-ordinator, Rick Clement.

Rick is a former Sergeant from the Duke of Lancaster Regiment with 14 years’ service before enduring life changing injuries due to an IED in Afghanistan. As a Veteran himself that has been through difficult times and his experience working to help other Veterans, he is perfectly suited for the role. Rick will be concentrating on improving the support needed for Veterans and their families Health and Wellbeing in the Community. Rick has promised to bring the Military values of Loyalty, Respect, Selfless Commitment, Honour, Integrity and Courage into his role.

This has begun with Virtual Events and welfare calls during the current climate and will progress to Coffee Mornings, Guest Speaker events, Fitness and sports sessions and importantly anything that the local Veteran Network feels is needed. Social events will also be key to the future. Rick is here whether its one-to-one support you require for employment, IT skills, education or wellbeing or you choose to join in the group activities. A Facebook group called Fylde Coast Veterans has been set up by Rick and his Blackpool FC counterpart Justin to connect local veterans and advertise events.
