As we draw a close to national lockdown restrictions it is impetrative that community organisations, such as ourselves support each others and its residents. In recent months the Community Trust staff have completed COVID 19 Lateral Flow testing and have supported local business such as Cardsaver and BES, ensuring that staff within each organisation provide a negative test and are able to continue working.

In recent weeks the Community Trust have also volunteered to help local schools such as Fleetwood High School, completing over 350 tests each day as the students return to education.

Fleetwood High School, Head Teacher, Richard Barnes expressed, “Fleetwood High School has, for many years and in a wide variety of ways, worked in partnership with Fleetwood Town Community Trust to improve opportunities and life chances for young people in the local area. Most recently FTCT has supported the school by providing additional staffing to support the delivery of rapid Covid testing  for our 1000 students, 3 times each, to enable the school to re-open following the school closure. As always the staff involved showed great commitment, enthusiasm and team work in supporting the delivery of this challenging task. All at FHS are grateful for the on going support of FTCT.”

NCS Manager, John Hartley at the Community Trust added, “We are  only too happy to support business’ across other community as well as local secondary schools in the return of it’s students. The past 12 months have been incredibly difficult for the majority people and its time like these that the community need to come together to support each other.
