On Friday 28th March our quarterly Friends of the Trust meeting celebrated the contribution of the organisations that have collectively enhanced our programmes and activities delivered across The Fylde Coast, Wyre and Fleetwood.
We were blessed to have double the number of organisations in attendance one year on from beginning our CSR amplification, networking meetings.
There was a business update from Trusts CEO John Hartley highlighting the 20,000 people The Trust have assisted over the last year, also amplifying The Trust’s impact when generating a Social Value return of £10,000 for every £1000 raised. We also heard from Ryan Willetts, the Trust PE & Sports Senior Manager who highlighted the work the Trust does in schools re Cyber Security, a an initiative being delivered in conjunction with Secretly Famous who’s founder Nathan Westgate confirmed. We heard from Graham Barr Managing Director, Renew Energies and event sponsor who explained how working with the Trust has helped his organisation to assist even more people locally via government ECO home energy grants.
Former Fleetwood Town FC player and local lad Stuart Beech of Tower Insurance Brokers explained why his organisation chose The Trust as a CSR partner. Stuart also explained how Tower insurance can improve business insurance cover and reduce premiums via their unique approach.
We continued to celebrate Trust friendship by presenting Graham Barr of Renew Energies, Paula Hardacre Director at 5AM Contract Cleaning with Friends of the Trust plaques to celebrate their commitment to helping the Trust deliver programmes and activities.
There were also special thanks to Jenny Fitzgerald, Director at Evolution Ltd for preparing afternoon tea for guests, and special thankyou to Marianne Davies, Fleetwood Town Community Trust’s Operation Manager both receiving a bouquet of Flowers.
We look forward to hosting our next quarterly meeting in June and would like to thank all those who attended who made our 1st Anniversary so special.
