Over 100 students and staff from Flakefleet Primary School will be special guests of the club at this Saturday’s match with Burton Albion.

The school – which is based in Fleetwood – are currently going head-to-head with the likes of Ariana Grande and X Factor winner Dalton Harris for the coveted Christmas Number One spot, after releasing their single Light Up.

Students from the school will be performing the song at half-time at this Saturday’s match at Highbury, with the club proud to support this great initiative from one of our local schools. Over 100 children will attend the game at the weekend and those will watch the Cod Army in action against Burton ahead of the Sky Bet League One fixture.

All proceeds from the song are going to the Alzheimer’s Society, with the link to buy the song available here.

Fleetwood Town Community Trust are continuing their strong relationship with Flakefleet Primary School with supporting their bid for Christmas Number 1 with ‘Light Up’. The Trust currently deliver PE & Sport in Flakefleet Primary throughout the school PE curriculum and also extra-curricular activities.

We look forward to welcoming everyone from Flakefleet to Highbury on Saturday!
