On Sunday 27th June 2021 at 0800hrs our Positive Pathways Co-Ordinator and Double Amputee Former Soldier Rick Clement will be leading a 10mile walk/wheel from Central Pier in Blackpool to the The Kings Own Old Comrades Club in Fleetwood to raise awareness of Armed Forces Day and the role he does in helping Veterans in the community with Fleetwood Town Community Trust.

Anyone is welcome to join at any point of the walk. The halfway point is JD Gym Thornton Cleveleys if you only want to do 5miles. All abilities are welcome. Rick will be using a manual wheelchair and it took him 4 hours previously.

It would be great if as many as possible can join and wear something with a military link like a camouflage top or military charity T-shirt for example but this isn’t mandatory.

Blackpool FC Community Trust and AFC Fylde Veterans Champions will be joining us too.

The trams will be running regularly for those who park in Blackpool and need to get back. It’s £2.10.

A big thank you to JD Gym who have offered water and the use of their toilet facilities at the half way point.

So please come along and support the event. There will be opportunity to talk about the role that Rick does and maybe you or someone you know can benefit from the support and events that we provide.
