Fleetwood Town Community Trust have been provided funding that will enhance youth provision and launch vital family support programmes in the community!

Places for People and Regenda Homes are joining forces to support residents in Fleetwood through new funding for Fleetwood Town Community Trust. The funding will enable the Trust to enhance its Youth Hub and strengthen its family support services, creating more opportunities for young people and families across the local community.

As a result of the investment, Fleetwood Town Community Trust will be able to deliver a programme of free activities for young people six days a week from its state-of-the-art Youth Hub in Fleetwood. The expanded provision will provide a safe, welcoming and supportive space where young people can take part in activities, develop new skills and build positive relationships.

The partnership will also kick-start the Trust’s new Family Support Programme, which has been developed to support members of the community who are facing hardship and challenges in their day-to-day lives. “This partnership allows us to work in collaboration with each other bringing our different strengths to the table to provide a greater opportunity for the young people of Fleetwood now and in the future” said Mike Collis, Head of Housing for Lancashire at Regenda Homes.

The programme will help families develop important independent living skills, including cooking and budgeting, while also providing support to help strengthen relationships, rebuild togetherness and create positive, lasting change within the family home. “We hope this programme responds directly to the needs of the area to increase opportunities and remove any barriers that they may be facing in their everyday lives” said Scott Harries, at Places for People.

By combining practical support with opportunities for young people and families to connect, the programme aims to make a meaningful difference to the lives of residents throughout Fleetwood. The investment from Places for People and Regenda Homes demonstrates a shared commitment to supporting local communities and helping residents access the tools, opportunities and support they need to thrive.

Through this partnership, Fleetwood Town Community Trust will continue to play an important role at the heart of the community, providing accessible services and activities that support young people, families and residents when they need it most.

“We aim to improve the lives of the young people in Fleetwood” said Tom Hutton, CEO of Fleetwood Town Community Trust.
