The Fleetwood community came together in incredible fashion on Saturday 7th February, as Highbury Stadium hosted the hugely successful Fleetwood Food Appeal, supporting local people through West View Community Association and The Pantry Food Bank.
Backed by the support of Fleetwood Town FC and first-team player Ronan Coughlan, the campaign raised over £650 in monetary donations alongside more than 200 items of essential food, providing a vital boost to two organisations working tirelessly to support residents across the area.
Fans, volunteers, and members of the wider community generously donated items before and during the day, demonstrating once again the powerful sense of togetherness that defines Fleetwood. From tinned goods and cupboard staples to financial contributions, every donation played a part in helping local families facing food insecurity.
The appeal was further strengthened by the involvement of Ronan Coughlan, whose support helped raise awareness and encourage participation, highlighting the positive role football can play beyond the pitch.
Representatives from both West View Community Association and The Pantry Food Bank expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming response, noting that the donations will make a meaningful difference in the weeks ahead.
Events like the Fleetwood Food Appeal underline what can be achieved when a community rallies around a shared cause. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped spread the word — your generosity truly matters.
