Fleetwood Town Community Trust are delighted to share the election of Sophie as Youth Voice Chair

The Trust originally setup the Youth Voice in June 2024, held at Fleetwood Youth Hub and providing to offer young people a safe space to gather, share experiences and create plans for positive change in their community.

The project has grown substantially in recent months following the initial funding from the Youth Investment Fund and #iWill, therefore giving more young people a voice and a platform to be listened to, to create purposeful action.

The election of the Trust’s first Youth Voice Chair signifies a momentous milestone providing a format for young people to be heard, detailing the societal challenges faced by young people and in turn enabling the most pressing issues to be discussed and tackled at Board level.

Speaking on her election, Sophie added, “I am very proud to be elected as the Chairperson for the Youth Voice Committee. I am excited to work on projects which will help out our local community.”
