Fleetwood Town Community Trust hold multiple walking football sessions at Poolfoot Farm for both men and women.

Walking Football is now a nationally recognised sport and particularly in Wyre as the Fleetwood Flyers became national champions of the FA People’s Cup in 2018 playing at St. George’s Park.

The walking footballers meet every Wednesday, between 12 and 1:30pm on the 3G pitches at Poolfoot Farm, and have seen over 120 local residents take part in the activities over the last 12 months.

The Community Trust also run a female only football session every Tuesday evening, between 7-8pm at Poolfoot farm for ladies over the age of 30.

The weekly sessions aims to inspire those that have never played football or haven’t played for many years to take part in regular physical activity and improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
