Reflecting on our Summer delivery in the Community

During what has been a challenging year at the Community Trust we have been busy throughout, offering fun, active and safe opportunities for the community.

We bounced back in the summer with our Trysport ‘Summer of Sport’ sessions with support from Wyre Council, running alongside our popular PL Kicks programme. Offering young people a chance to get back outdoors, socialising and exercising with friends again in a safe and enjoyable environment!

Moving with the times and changing guidance we were able to restart and offer new sessions to the young people of our community. Providing a safe environment for people under the age of 18 to socialise and support each other through a range of activities and support groups.

Soon after followed our range of outdoor physical activity sessions where we teamed up with Active Lancashire, Wyre Council and Westview Association to offer adults the opportunity to be outdoors, meet new people and get active! With Walk and Talk, Healthy Cycling, and Couch to 5k groups to name a few!

While these recent times have been challenging for us all, we have offered our support to those most in need. Both our staff and those who attend our sessions have offered their help to Fleetwood Food Bank and the Fleetwood Together at Christmas organisations, helping with deliveries, packing orders, logistics and donations.
