Rachel Walker, Mental Health Transformation Officer said: “The Trust are really excited for our first ever Ladies Summer Football Tournament and believe it will be a great display of bringing together women across Lancashire to promote a sport we all enjoy and women’s mental health.

Abigail Olde, Fundraising Officer said “Lancashire Women are excited to partner with Fleetwood Town Community Trust for this fundraising event, we want to raise awareness about specific barriers women face – specifically around mental health – and how our charity can support them. Following the re-opening of our Community Hub in Blackpool, we want to remind women in the local area that we are here to help them to achieve positive change in their lives.

The tournament will be a great opportunity for women to come together for a fun social day of football and raise funds for the local community.”

We have partnered up with Lancashire Women, who will be providing essential advice and support to the women of Lancashire. This is an event Fleetwood Town Community Trust have wanted to create for a while and I hope this push through barriers women can face and will be able to increase awareness of the best ways to access support if you are a struggling. The day will be a fun filled event with lots of football, stalls and bringing families together. We can’t wait to see you all there!”
