Brendan Wiredu – PFA Community Player of the Year

Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce that Brendan Wiredu has been named the club’s PFA Community Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season!

Brendan has been presented the award by Fleetwood Town’s Community Trust following his outstanding work within the local community over the course of the season.

Town’s number one has played a leading role in community visits within schools, as well as going the extra mile with younger supporters who have visited him at the club’s training ground.

John Hartley, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Fleetwood Town’s Community Trust, said: “Brendan has been an inspiration to many over the last 12 months, being a role model both on the pitch and off it.  He has engaged in a range of community projects and school visit’s which have proven highly impactful to those he’s met.”
