Fleetwood Town Community Trust held their ‘Fit for the Future’ session on World Mental Health Day at St. Wulstan’s Church.

World Mental Health Day took place on Wednesday 10th October, and it was a day where many people helped spread the awareness of mental health, and what we can do to help those who suffer.

The Community Trust hold a ‘Fit for the Future’ session at St. Wulstan’s Church in Fleetwood, and this week the participants were welcomed by special guests from Flakefleet Primary School.

Children from both Year 5 & 6 attended this weeks session, and took part in a question and answer / speed dating activity – which was aided to help people talk about a variety of areas, whether it be personal or about what people like doing on a daily basis.

Later in the morning, the children and ‘Fit for the Future’ attendees got into a game of handball. With the ice-breaker at the start, that was helpful for all those involved as it allowed more communication on the playing field.
